What the team says:
‘I’ve never felt the need to change who I am at work. I’m accepted and recognised entirely for who I am. I am proud to be a strong female surrounded both at home and work by inspiring, influential women. My Great Great Nan was a Suffragette from East London and I know her story well, it’s clearly in my blood! ’ Amelia Simmonds
‘I’ve worked at ITA* for over a decade and I’ve been driven, motivated and inspired by successful, brilliant women. I only wish this was the case across every industry and market sector. I’m excited to be part of this global movement and momentum; it’s a fantastic time to celebrate being a successful working mother.’ Kate McIntosh
‘I’m proud to be part of an almost all female team. We’re strong, successful, professional and talented individuals, but together we are stronger as a team! It is a privilege to come into the office and work alongside these women. I have two sisters, a strong mother and two Grandmothers all who were feminists, I was raised this way! ’ Laura Pearce
‘The catering and hospitality industry, I feel, promotes gender parity. I started as an apprentice almost two years ago and have been recognised for my work and the results produced. I look forward to being part of this celebration – 100% in support!’ Olivia Parrott
‘I’m indeed the only male in the ITA* team. Every team member is respected and treated equally. It’s a pleasure to work clonazepam buy online alongside my peers; we celebrate unity, inclusion and fantastic results!’ Benjamin Peters
‘Delighted to be part of a team that’s more than 90% female! It’s not a ‘thing’ here, we just work hard, play hard and celebrate success based on talent and skillset.’ Paula Hawes
‘The Asian wedding market is a male dominated place to work, it is exciting to see the rise of incredible, inspiring women who are making their mark alongside and ahead of strong men. I am so excited to be part of this celebration today.’ Hema Vara
‘Three decades ago I was told by my male lecturer at catering college: “Karen you must be twice as strong as the male chef next to you to succeed in a professional kitchen”. I must thank him, as this made me who I am today. It’s been hard at times and kitchens have come a long way with regards to equality, respect and professionalism. We’re still on a journey but the change has been immense over this time. Campaigns such as International Women’s Day can only accelerate this – well done all who are part of it.’ Karen Poynter
We’re proud that our industry celebrates women and their contributions, but we appreciate not all may agree or have had the same experience. And, while we know that global gender parity won’t happen overnight, we’re excited at the strong and growing global movement of advocacy, activism and support.
There‘s a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. A strong call to #PressforProgress. A strong call to motivate and unite friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.
Collectively, let’s all #PressforProgress.
The International Women’s Day campaign provides a unified direction to guide and galvanise collective action. The campaign theme does not end on International Women’s Day. This is just the start.
ITA Venues* commits to #PressforProgress to accelerate #genderparity.
