Last Year: Couture Monday! Sassi Holford wows guests with gorgeous gowns at Haberdashers’ Hall

Last night Sassi Holford unveiled her 2013 Couture Collection at Haberdashers’ Hall in one of our most exciting and exclusive events yet!

Haberdashers’ Hall’s arresting Livery Hall provided the perfect setting for our salon style show which left our guests (and us) virtually speechless!

Our guests were treated to a sneak preview of twelve Sassi Holford gowns; with elegant silhouettes, delicate lace detailing and the perfect accessories to top off each look, it felt like each was more perfect than the last! It’s easy to see why Sassi commands such enormous respect in the world of bridal design.

Sassi’s gorgeous gowns were complemented by hair designs from The Hepburn Collection and beautiful faces made even more beautiful by make-up artist Kaz Fernando, while flowers from Purple Tiger Flowers, a truly stunning eight tier(!!) vintage style cake from Hall of Cakes and marvellous music from Niche – The London String Quartet gave Haberdashers’ Hall a lovely romantic ambience.

Then of course there was the food… Oh the food! The chefs at Chester Boyd, led by the incredibly talented Pawel Dozonek, outdid themselves and showed why they are the caterers to beat, especially when it comes to the perfect xanax online pharmacy mexico wedding menu. We had a selection of scrummy – and very on-trend – little canapĂ©s, from the classy hand dived scallops, delicately fried in breadcrumbs, to the super tasty truffle risotto aranchini, and a small plate menu which included aged beef, delicate tempura courgette flowers and the piece de resistance – lobster hotdogs, the perfect mix of elegance and fun!

The “Sassified” cocktails, both virgin and alcoholic, were the perfect complement for the delicious food and, along with prosecco delicately flavoured with hibiscus flowers, were the luxuriant cherry on the top of our sumptuous evening.

Self-taught and self-made, Sassi is a bridal designer from Taunton, who has been creating beautiful wedding dresses for 30 years. She shot to fame when she created the dress for the royal marriage of Autumn Kelly to Peter Phillips, son of the Princess Royal and she is considered one of the premier names in bridal design.

All our hard work paid off hugely and we had a superb evening; we hope everyone who attended loved it just as much as we did!
