Sassi Holford partners with ITA for 2019 couture wedding collection launch event
ITA partnered with bespoke wedding gown and designer to the stars, Sassi Holford, to launch her 2019 ‘Enchanted’ couture bridal collection with an exclusive event at London’s Stationers’ Hall.
The special event on 1 November featured a catwalk, vegan wedding menu and wedding showcase. Stationers’ Hall, one of ITA’s exclusive event spaces and popular wedding venue, was the ideal choice and created the perfect setting for the collaboration.
The inspiring wedding venue was dressed to match Holford’s new Enchanted collection and mirrored the magic for everyone involved. Guests, including wedding editors, bloggers and influencers and specially-invited brides-to-be, arrived at Stationers’ Hall, located next to St Paul’s Cathedral, and were led through a lantern lit cobbled courtyard to the secret garden that is home to an idyllic hidden church – which some guests have chosen for their own weddings next year.
“It was such a pleasure to showcase my Enchanted Collection in London at Stationers’ Hall. A stunning backdrop which complemented my designs perfectly. The ITA team are perfectionists and specialists in all they do, the attention to detail and thought in every aspect of the planning was incredible,” Holford commented after the show.
Specialist caterer CH&CO served a completely vegan menu to match World Vegan Day and demonstrate how this growing trend can be creatively interpreted for all events and occasions. Executive Chef Karen Poynter and Head Chef Michal Kobus created exquisite dishes including cauliflower bhaji, Jerusalem artichoke dumplings, mushroom gyoza and triple cooked parsnip chips.
“CH&CO produced a vegan menu to look like artwork; delicious and thrilling. A fabulous success, I loved every minute”, Holford added.
After the bridal fashion show, guests enjoyed elderflower and pink gin cocktails from the mirror gin bar from within the hall. They then proceeded through to the Court Room for the interactive vegan dessert table in the theme of an edible woodland garden, with dry ice, edible pebbles, meringue flowers and giant toffee apples, another creation from CH&CO’s Karen Poynter and her team.
“This was an exciting experiential event, bringing the feel of the Stationers’ Hall garden from outside to inside. Autumnal seasonal ingredients are incredible to work with right now, something we believe in strongly at CH&CO. We wanted the enchantment to match the feel of Sassi’s collection, and we’re sure we did!” Poynter said after the event.
These words were echoed by Kerry Pedrick, Commercial Manager at Stationers’ Hall. “We were so thrilled to see Stationers’ Hall looking utterly magical. Our resident caterer CH&CO put on an extraordinary menu and exquisite dessert station – all vegan which was very appropriate for World Vegan Day.”
As the event drew to a close, guests could speak to wedding industry experts about tips for their own weddings. ITA had arranged a collection of elite wedding suppliers to be at the event including: Urban Soul Orchestra; Florist Peppermint Poppy; Millinery by Bundle McClaren; Toast Master, John Oakley; Stationer, Ananya Cards; Entertainment Specialist Mighty Fine Entertainment; Production by Eclipse; Jewellery by Stephanie Browne; Emmy London’s bridal shoes; hair by Carmichael & Koniak; make up by Kyra Valentina; photographer, Douglas Fry; and ‘Wedding Cake Designer of the Year’, Rosalind Miller.
Award winning Olivia Parrott, Wedding Specialist at ITA, said that “The atmosphere was divine, the venue utterly stunning, the dresses breath-takingly elegant, the food and drink exquisite, it is a pleasure to work with such first-class wedding partners”.
