There are six event rooms available to hire and the rather splendid Gray’s Inn gardens; known as ‘The Walks’. If you are planning a central London Wedding and looking for a traditional venue full of history, then the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn is the perfect venue for you. Your dedicated wedding coordinator will guide and support you throughout. The Hall and Large Pension Room are licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships for up to 180 guests. Weddings can take place all year round including weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.

The impressive oak panelled Hall seats up to 176 guests for a seated breakfast and with the Large Pension Room combined, can host receptions for up to 350 guests. The beautifully manicured gardens are made up of five acres also known as ‘The Walks’. This is the largest private garden in London, steeped in history and elegance; they provide a stunning backdrop for wedding photos and are available throughout the year.

In house caterer Ampersand offer creative and delicious menus tailored to your own personal taste. Gray’s Inn is a unique and tranquil London wedding venue that is rich in history and charm.

Christmas at The Honourable Society Of Gray’s Inn

Gray’s Inn lends itself perfectly to Christmas Celebrations. Three large tastefully decorated trees fill the Inn with the smell of Christmas, while the Historic oak panelled Hall is filled with candlelight from the extensive collection of silver candlesticks, providing a cosy glow on a cold winter’s night.

The different event spaces within Gray’s Inn are a beautiful setting for your Christmas celebrations and the different sized rooms provide a fantastic atmosphere for intimate dinners, lunches or standing parties.

The Bridge Bar is a light and airy space, perfect for informal breakfast meetings and lunches.  For clients using the Bingham Room, it is ideal for an informal post-event reception.

The Walks (Garden)

Gray’s Inn gardens are known as “The Walks” and were originally laid out in 1608 by the then Treasurer, Sir Francis Bacon, whose statue can be seen in the South Square. They remain among the largest private gardens in London: five acres of perfectly maintained park entered through a pair of impressive iron gates. The space provides a peaceful oasis amidst the busy streets of Central London and are available throughout the year. During the summer The Walks are equipped with a marquee suitable for a wide variety of summer events and al fresco dining. The Gardens offer a distinguished setting for both private and corporate celebrations; including barbecues, team building, cocktail receptions and weddings.

The Rose Heilbron Room

This space takes its name from Dame Rose Heilbron, DBE, QC (1914 – 2005) who was an outstanding barrister and the first woman Treasurer of Gray’s Inn. Offering video conferencing technology, with dual screens, double cameras and a touch screen control panel, users are able to make both IP and ISDN video calls. A link up with the equipment in the Bingham Room means that larger audiences will also be able to benefit from the facility. Multimedia equipment installed in the room ensures that it can be used for boardroom meetings, presentations, seminars and video conferences.

The Bencher’s Library

This historic room features a high ceiling with large windows overlooking Gray’s Inn Square. The Benchers’ Library is the perfect setting for small meetings, private lunches and dinners. This space is located on the first floor and can be used in conjunction with the Large Pension Room.

A bright and airy room located on the first
floor and reached by an impressive sweeping
oak staircase, this formal banqueting room
is discreet yet very versatile. It features a
series of ornate chandeliers and a magnificent
marble fireplace.
The Large Pension Room is licensed for civil
wedding ceremonies and is much sought after
for dinners and wedding receptions. It can be used in conjunction with the Benchers’
Library for select and private group meetings,
lectures or presentations.

The Bingham Room

Located on the first floor in an adjoining building opposite the Hall, this exclusive and versatile banqueting room provides a peaceful view overlooking the beautifully landscaped squares. The Bingham Room takes its name from Thomas Henry Bingham, Baron Bingham of Cornhill (1933 – 2010) who was British Supreme Court Judge, Jurist and Bencher of  Gray’s Inn. Refurbished in 2012, the Bingham Room boasts the latest integrated AV equipment, including a PA system, LCD projector, screen and AMX touch panel. It can be used in conjunction with the adjacent Bridge Bar, making it an ideal setting for theatre or boardroom style meetings, seminars and lectures.

The Hall

Encapsulating the true nature, life and history of Gray’s Inn, the Hall has changed little since Elizabethan times. It manages effortlessly to combine intimacy, tradition and grandeur for any occasion, whether it is a formal corporate conference or private dinner parties. Captivating in its traditional surroundings, the Hall is decorated with historic paintings and heraldic shields. Several of the exquisite stained-glass windows date back to 1462. The historic Armada screen is believed to be made of oak timbers from a captured ship of the Spanish Armada and given to the Inn by Queen Elizabeth I.

The Small Pension Room

A charming room surrounded by oak panelled walls with a beautiful mahogany table. The ceiling proves a distinctive feature, adorned with ornate moulds of red roses that surround the large seal of the Duchy of Lancaster. This space is perfectly suited for small board meetings, presentations, select dinner parties or for aperitifs before a private dinner.
