The Garden

A hidden gem in central London, The Garden provides a tranquil setting for Drinks Receptions, Summer Parties, Barbecues and Weddings. The Garden is always sold in conjunction with an indoor space, usually the contemporary Garden Room or the Snow Room.

Architect Sir Edwin Lutyens designed a picturesque Garden to the side of BMA House, which today is home to an abundance of physic plants. The Garden centres on an oval pond surrounded by semi-circular terrace ideal for corporate and private events.

For those with literary interests, The Garden is built on the site of Tavistock House, once the home of novelist Charles Dickens. Within the Garden there is a plaque marking the foundations of the house in which Dickens lived from 1851 to 1860. During this period he is thought to have written, Bleak House, Hard Times, and Great Expectations.
