A couture bridal spectacular with Sassi Holford at The In & Out
Last night we were once again able to join forces with the amazing Sassi Holford, as she unveiled her 2014 Couture Collection at an exclusive show at The In & Out.
We’ve been fans of Sassi’s work for a very long time, so it’s absolutely wonderful to have developed this great relationship with her. We hope she agrees that our beautiful venue was the perfect place to show off her amazing work!
The In & Out is one of our most popular venues for weddings, with a really romantic and traditional look and feel, so it was a natural choice for this event. On the night it worked even better than we had hoped and we heard nothing but praise for the charming venue and all the beautiful adornments that helped to make it so beautiful for the event. Flower arrangements in classic, soft colours from Purple Tiger Floral Design and the dulcet tones of Niche – The London String Quartet helped us to set just the right mood as guests mingled and networked and then enjoyed the event. Along with a fab showpiece cake from the very talented Abigail Bloom, these touches all added up to help us make The In & Out the most romantic place in London last night!
Guests entered the King Harald V room, greeted with a choice of prosecco or the specially created cocktail. Aperol is so “now” and Ampersand treated us to their take on the chic Aperol Spritz cocktail, given a new twist with a lime and peppercorn spiked ice cube. As guests settled into the space, they were treated to a selection of delicious and very inventive canapés. Ampersand took us on an amazing wedding journey, with tailor-made canapés and treats which told the story of a bride’s big day and delighted the senses. This first round of canapés aimed to reflect the excitement of getting married on your buy 2mg xanax bars online no prescription wedding day. As part of a “make-up bag” of Ampersand bites, guests were treated to a duck and orange paté “lipstick”; goat’s cheese “toothpaste” tubes, squeezed onto beetroot toothbrushes and a make up palette of dips, with a grissini applicator.
After an enjoyable hour of relaxed mingling, our guests moved into the Coffee Room, where a tasty “wedding breakfast” and glasses of bubbly awaited. Then, along with our guests, we were treated to a sneak preview of key Sassi Holford couture gowns from her upcoming collection.
They were amazing! From slender lines to full skirts, delicate lace detailing to rich silks and satins, high necks to princess cuts, each one was different but they all sat beautifully alongside one another, creating a cohesive collection that was undeniably Sassi! One featured a show-stopping bow back, another had a beautiful scoop neckline and flower applique skirt, complemented by the most adorable floral headpiece. A gorgeous sequinned full gown fit for a princess made us come over all romantic and light-headed, while a fifties style hydrangea covered dress with green sash rocked our world!
To close the evening, Ampersand presented dessert treats inspired by the wedding disco, including chocolate top hats and strawberry “sparkle” – designed to evoke the twinkle of fairy lights and disco balls. Yum!
All our hard work paid off hugely and we had a superb evening; we hope everyone who attended loved it just as much as we did! A huge thank you to all of the suppliers who helped us make this event so brilliant and of course to Sassi herself, who we can’t thank enough for joining us for this wonderful event and filling it with her spectacular work.
